At the end of the 1st Quarter 2017 Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at 7,001.63 points, increased by 778.5 points 12.51% over the same period of the previous year.
Highest close level for the index during the period was 7,250.76 point on 03/01/2017.
Total equity market capitalization at the end of the 1st quarter 2017 reached SAR 1,638.04 billion (US$ 436.81 billion), increasing by 13.94% over the close of the same period of the previous year.
The total value of shares traded during the 1st quarter 2017 reached SAR 251.48 billion (US$ 67.06 billion), decreasing by 31.72% over the same period of the previous year.
The total number of shares traded* reached 13.29 billion shares during the 1st quarter 2017 compared to 20.35 billion shares traded during the 1st quarter 2016, a decrease of 34.71%
The total number of transactions executed during the 1st quarter 2017 reached 6.88 million compared to 8.82 million trades during the 1st quarter 2016, a decrease of 22.00%.
